As a resident of the Twin Cities for more than 30 years, he is actively involved in improving these communities: "As a Larkspur resident, I participated in preserving Little King Mountain as open space. Then I spent over two years working with the Town of Corte Madera, the Marin Audubon Society, and the residents of Meadowcreek and Madera del Presidio to restore the tidal flow and ecology in the Upper San Clemente Creek." This historic, tidal wetland is now on its way to recovery, with a return of birds, frogs, and beavers.
At the Meadowcreek community in East Corte Madera, Alan oversaw the reconstruction of 148 homes at a cost of nearly $7 million. He has also planned and supervised a major revision to the landscaping.
Outside of the Twin Cities, Alan restored a public garden on Second Street in Old Town Sausalito. "This garden, overlooking the bay and San Francisco," he recalls, " was a thicket of weeds and debris accumulated over 50 years. I recruited the approval of the City of Sausalito, obtained the consensus of the neighbors, and raised the money to do the job." In the process, Alan has built a special relationship with Sausalito and its residents.
Before his real estate career, Alan earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and served on the research faculty of the University of California. His second career was as a technical writer for the computer and biomedical industries. This broad background demonstrates his unusaul ability to tackle any situation.
Alan has a passion for people that enhances the personal service that we provide to our clients. He provides a thoroughness and attention to details, plus a dedication to fulfilling your needs and desires.
