Vacation Living in San Rafael
23 Sulgrave Lane is at the eastern end of San Rafael, surrounded by the broad and peaceful San Pablo Bay. Sparking light off the water enhances this Mediterranean setting. Just 5 miles and a 12-minute drive from Highway 101 and the SMART Train station, takes you to a peaceful, relaxing place where the hills meet the water.
This home is part of a small complex of 30 well-maintained condominiums, The Knoll Recreational Association, set in lush lawns and gardens. It is a oasis reminding us of a fine vacation hotel. The main level, comprised of a large living-dining room, kitchen, bedroom and full bath, open to a private patio and acres of green space and one of the best (and well heated) community pools in Marin. The pool, saunas, and elegant Buckeye Club are the exclusive use of the homes at this complex. Just out the front door are trails to China Camp State Park. Also, the Peacock Golf Club, clubhouse, and cafe are just a five-minute walk.
The living level has beautiful and unusual solid bamboo flooring and a dramatic 2 story living room with a wood burning fireplace and custom tile surround. The bedroom on this level has built-in custom maple office furniture, easily converted back to a bedroom. This bedroom enjoys views of the hills to the east. The kitchen provides stainless steel appliances and plenty of storage.
The upper level has two large bedrooms with full baths, views of the hills, and balconies. The entry level has a large one car garage with two storage areas and a laundry room that can also accommodate an office, exercise room, or additional storage.
The HOA fees of $585 per month include insurance, exterior maintenance, the pool and facilities, and management.
