Vacation Setting at Peacock Gap
8 Greenside Way is at the eastern end of San Rafael, surrounded by the broad and peaceful San Pablo Bay. Just 5 miles and a 12-minute drive from Highway 101 and the SMART Train station, takes you to a peaceful, relaxing place where the hills meet the water.
This home is part of a small complex of 30 well-maintained condominiums, The Knoll Recreational Association, set in lush lawns and gardens. A few steps from a private patio and garden is a sparkling, outdoor Olympic-size pool, the Buckeye Club house, and saunas reserved for the 30 homeowners and their guests. This is an oasis reminding us of a fine resort.
The entry level has a large (13.5 by 9 feet) third bedroom, office, or recreational room with a closet, a two-car garage, a laundry room, and a storage room. Seven plus four stairs, lit by a skylight, take you up to the living level.
The living level is comprised of a remodeled kitchen and a large living-dining room open to a private patio, acres of green space, and one of the best community pools in Marin.
This level has hardwood flooring and a wood burning fireplace with a stone tile surround, built-in bookcases, and a wall of glass doors to the outside. The remodeled kitchen has newer appliances, composite stone counters, decorative wainscoting, custom tile back splash, and breakfast area. The kitchen is lit naturally by a large skylight.
The bedroom level, only four steps up from the living room, has two large bedrooms with two full baths. The baths, remodeled in 2008, have marble counter tops, tile floors, newer lighting, and skylights for soft, natural lighting. One bath has a shower over tub and the other a walk-in shower.
The HOA fees of $625 per month include insurance, exterior maintenance, roof (new in 2015), basic cable service, pool and facilities, and management.
